Hi folks, Rayser here!
I'm a Visual Development Artist,

I have a passion for all aspects of art, however, my strong interests in animals and natural landscapes have given me confident skills for creating fantasy illustration and creature designs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Check below for any question and if you can't find what you were looking for, please feel free to contact me directly!

• Your art seems a bit ... Low quality ??
All my artworks are poisoned with Nightshade and Glaze to protect them from AI thievery. Don't worry tho, if you commission me you will receive a full HD picture!
• How long does it take you to finish a commission?
It depends on the type of commission and, yes, on my mood.
Unfortunately, the latter plays a very critical role on my speed. So what I ask you is to be patient. Average time ranges from one week up to three months. Also, please make sure to respond to my questions if I have any, this will help to speed up the process. (I had customers that took months to reply and, expectedly, it took almost a year to finish their artworks).
If you wish to have your picture ready for a specific deadline (birthdays, holidays …etc.), it’s crucial you keep all of this in mind!
• I don’t have any reference of my Character, but I can write a detailed description!
I do work with written descriptions but please be aware that in this case you’re asking me for a “Character Design”. This means that, depending on the complexity of your character, it will cost you much, MUCH, more. To avoid this, please try to provide as many reference pictures as possible. You could search for a free coloring base on the internet, or even send the most basic childish doodle! But I beg you to not send me an AI-generated abomination.
If you’re here, it means you wish to support a human artist, so please don’t use AI. Thank you.
• What if I wish for something that is not on your price list?
In that case, feel free to send me an email or a DM on my socials (emails are the fastest way tho). Let me know what you would like, and I'll provide you with a customized price.
• What is your preference for drawing?
I love drawing animals and alike. Especially hybrids and otherworldly fantasy creatures spark my imagination in a very strong way! Natural landscapes have a calming effect on me. Recently, I've mastered the courage to challenge myself with of bringing more humans into my artistic life, and although they’re completely outside of my comfort zone, in the end I have found them… Intriguing!
• I noticed a slight change in my Character’s colors. Why?
I promise I’ve picked the colors directly from your reference sheet, however, certain colors like pure white or pure black (especially pure black, for the love of everything please never use it on your characters) give a lot of trouble when it’s time for lighting/shading. The time of day depicted on your commission also can greatly affect the colors and if you haven’t requested a specific time, I still generally tend to use vibrant shades to make the characters stand out better. If you wish for your character’s colors to stay the same or want a more “neutral” render, please let me know.
• Can you draw imitating this person’s style?
Nope, sorry. If you wish for someone’s specific style, then I reccomend you commission them directly. This stands for big trends as well. Don’t ask me to do stuff in Disney, Pokémon, Studio Ghibli or any other specific show style ‘cause I will say no. Whatever I draw, I draw it only in my own style.
• Can I ask for a few changes now that the commission is finished?
It depends. You can ask for big changes (like totally changing the pose or the environment) only at the sketch stage. I won't do a complete redraw after you have approved the sketch. Minor edits (like changing colors or adding an accessory/scar/tattoo I forgot about) are fine tho.
• Do you take request or art trade?
Free request? Nope, sorry. Those golden days are long gone.
As for Art Trades or even Collabs, I really love them and usually do them with friends and/or mutuals, but I can agree for a trade even with random folks. However, you have to be on the same art level with me and not lower, sorry. Don't be afraid to ask tho, I might still really like your style!

Reference Sheet

!! Please, notice the difference !!• The character has already been designed by the owner or someone else. The commissioned artist is just drawing it.• It displays a full body, usually 3/4 view. It may even have a head close-up or focusing on a body feature such as tattoos or scars... etc. And specific accessorises.• Basically, it's an ID card. It clearly shows (usually on sides) the character's info such as name/color palette/size comparison and more personal details.

Character Design

!! They may look similar, but they're not the same !!• You start with a text description. There are a lot of ideas going on in this process. The commissioned artist is designing the character for the very first time.• It displays a full body and, usually, a whole character turnaround. In other words: front, back and side views. There would probably be also a bunch of headshots to show different emotions.• Check my Character Design Policy for what you can and cannot do with your Design Commission.

Detailed Design

• Simple multiple layered clothes.• Unnatural patterns or many layered colors.• Small natural or unnatural accessories.• Animals with realistic fur / scales / feathers patterns such as: appaloosa horses, african leopards, snowy owls, coral snakes, butterflies, ... etc.

Complex Design

• More than 4 limbs. Wings do count as limbs as well.• Multiple layered patterns and super-detailed clothes full of accessorises.• Characters with permanent special FX, such as: elemental auras, magic weapons, superpowers... etc.
